K Remains

What a large number of people believed (or at least hoped) is certified as true - as a half-birthday present to me Coach K will not be leaving Duke. He was offered an awful lot of money, but he will probably earn more on his way to becoming the winningest college basketball coach of all-time.

Wow, in one of the most bizarre scenarios I can imagine, apparently "free wheeling" expansion coach Bernie Bickerstaff has some words of advice for Coach K and how hard NBA coaching is. Please, Bernie, don't talk about NBA coaching until you have at least coached a game as an NBA head coach. Then don't talk until the Bobcats have a winning record - something that will occur long after you are gone.

(Btw, I realize some report must have asked him his opinion, but he really doesn't have to give it.)

Coach K teased the world all so he can get all these accolades from people too senseless to know any better so that he can recruit people to actually play for him at all or atleast for a couple of years. It's emotional blackmail and i'm glad coach K is still atop his throne of lies so that Roy Williams can dominate him this year. Or Paul Hewett. Or Gary Williams. For all will have better programs than Dook this year.

As it turns out, Bernie Bickerstaff has coached *686* games in the NBA and was the 1986-87 NBA Coach of the Year.

Wow - hopefully no one else will read the comments of this story. I don't know who I thought Bickerstaff was - I even remember his coaching career a little now. He even almost has a .500 record with 5 playoff appearances.

We'll modify my previous comment to be "coached a game as a NBA head coach in the finals"
