Taxi - Not the one with Tony Danza

Sometimes I think Fox just spends their days trying to think what they can get me to watch. Their latest creation I just discovered this morning (which is amazing considering how many Fox movie trailers I've seen this summer - alright, alright, I'll go see A vs. P, just stop with the trailers) and features ludicrous car tricks, super-model bank robbers, Jimmy Fallon wise-cracks, and a loose connection to Luc Besson (The Professional, Fifth Element).

Taxi will be hitting theaters in October and I'll probably go then to see it (trailers).

Update: Wow, apparently Luc has already done three of these Taxi movies in France so he should have it down to a science.

Apparently some people don't hold my rosy view of this film. Yeah, I don't believe they remade Casablanca here, but it should be entertaining. Am I the only one who likes Jimmy Fallon? He better be funny because I know where he lives. Also let's not make Queen Latifah out to be the next Meryl Streep because she was lucky enough to be in a movie that Miramax put their muscle behind to get everybody an Oscar nomination. I mean, she was in Bringing Down the House and Barbershop 1 and 2 so let's not say this movie is beneath her.
