The scientific world was turned on its head when scientists reported that yesterday, April 28, 2005, they produced nuclear fusion. In fact, the news was so nice, it was posted twice (here and here) on a popular website. Kissaboo, however, has always strived to give you tomorrow's news today, today's news yesterday, and yesterday's news over seven-and-a-half years ago.
Now some of you may wonder, "This news of a post-November 21, 1997, world is too good to be true. The fusion described must be dirty, dangerous, and financially inefficient to build." But, no. The post-November 21, 1997, world is, indeed, clean, safe, and cost-effective.

Posted by: boo at April 29, 2005 07:29 AMApparently the guy at the University of Florida who discovered this is still hard at work.
Too bad the original St. Petersburg Times article with all of the horrible misprints is no longer available...
Posted by: lurp at May 2, 2005 07:37 AM"By way of comparison, he said, UF has earned about $30-million in the last decade from royalties on Gatorade."
I love how the article is like "Fusion might give UF more money than Gatorade! Aaammmaaaaaazzzzing!"
About Monkhorst still being hard at work, my guess is that the fusion reaction is completely finished. He just doesn't want people to know because there would be so many people thanking him!
