Having lagged on my PTI recently, I only discovered this morning the "concessions" NBC made to get Michael's out of this ESPN contract. I'll ask the question most of us must be wondering - how long have they wanted this bunny? Somewhere I read a relative of Walt asked for it, but when did that happen? If this had notoccured, what was their plan to get the bunny?
I am not sure what Arrested Development did to so anger Fox, but in a move with so little fanfare that I just heard of it now, the last 4 episodes (probably ever, but at least on Fox) are airing tonight. A 2 hour block of 4 episodes on ANOTHER different night going against the opening of the Winter Olympics - what a shame. Especially since all Americans should rebel against the Olympics - or at least maintain our stance of indifference - for removing us off their IOC committee and our sports (baseball, softball) from the summer games (in addition to not putting the games in NYC at their first chance after 9/11 which no one admittedly cared about), there is no reason that everyone should not watch Fox and give Arrested Development the send off it deserves.
The latest news in the oddity of one company who claims "all your images do belong to us" - Forgent's jpeg patent is being re-examined.
In a continuing trend that hopefully will bring about ondemand nirvana, NBC is streaming (unfortunately, no authorized downloads it appears) the aired and un-aired versions of The Book of Daniel from their website. I have only watched 15 minutes of the show - not enough to get to any particularly blasphemous part I suppose - but it did seem mildly interesting. I have a horrible track record watching these shows on the web (did that girl on Fox manage to pick a non-gay guy?) but I'll try to watch some of these. It gives me hope that those lost episodes of girls club will make it to the net.
